Secure payments. Purchases are collected and processed by a third-party payment provider, shown at checkout. Your card details are handled by that provider and are never stored by IELTSTeen. The provider's own terms apply to each purchase in addition to these Terms.

1. Who we are

IELTSTeen ("IELTSTeen", "we", "us", "our") is an online IELTS-preparation service available at ieltsteen.com. The Service is operated by a self-employed person (o'zini o'zi band qilgan shaxs) registered with the tax authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan, trading as IELTSTeen.

By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

IELTSTeen provides IELTS-preparation tools, including:

• AI Essay Checker: automated feedback and an indicative band estimate on IELTS Writing Task 1, Task 2, and General Training letters.
• Speaking Mock Test: a scheduled one-to-one practice speaking test with feedback, booked through the site.
• Progress tracking and related account features.

We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. The Service is provided for personal, educational use only.

3. Eligibility & accounts

The Service is aimed at IELTS learners, including students under 18. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, and any purchase must be made by a person aged 18 or older who is authorised to use the payment method.

You sign in using Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

4. Plans, pricing & billing

We offer a free tier and paid options. Current pricing is shown on the site at the time of purchase and may be displayed in USD or in Uzbek som (UZS) depending on your location.

• Free: a limited number of essay checks each month (currently 5).
• Pro: an auto-renewing subscription (currently $6 / month, or the local equivalent) for unlimited essay checks and additional features.
• Check packs: one-time purchases of additional essay checks that do not expire.
• Speaking Mock Test: a single scheduled one-to-one session (currently free).

How payments are processed. All payments are collected and processed by a third-party payment provider on our behalf; the provider is identified during checkout. Depending on the provider, it may act as the merchant/seller of record for the transaction, issuing your receipt or invoice and handling any applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax). We do not receive or store your full card details.

Subscriptions. The Pro subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page or via the link in your payment receipt; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not store your card details, they are held securely by our payment provider.

Price changes. We may change prices; any change to a recurring subscription will be communicated in advance and will apply to the next billing cycle.

5. Cancellation & refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Because purchases are processed by our third-party payment provider, approved refunds are issued by that provider back to your original payment method.

6. Nature of AI feedback

The Essay Checker uses automated, AI-generated analysis. Band estimates and feedback are indicative and for practice only. They are not official IELTS results and do not guarantee any particular score on a real IELTS examination. Actual results depend on the official examiners and test conditions.

IELTSTeen is an independent study aid. IELTS is a registered trademark of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. IELTSTeen is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of these organisations.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or submit content you have no right to submit;
• resell, redistribute, or share paid access or content with others;
• attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, security, or authentication;
• scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
• upload malware, or disrupt or overload our systems or our providers'.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

All content, branding, code, and design of the Service are owned by IELTSTeen or its licensors. You keep ownership of the essays and text you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited licence to process it in order to provide the Service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate feedback) and to store it in your account history. We do not sell your User Content.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including our payment provider (payments), Google (sign-in), Supabase and Vercel (hosting and data storage), and an AI provider used to generate feedback. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any feedback will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IELTSTeen's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us (via Paddle) in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost opportunities or exam outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be notified on the site. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
